Chelyabinsk got a Ruby Cross from international charity fund `Maecenas Of the Century`
On Saturday, January 29 in Moscow the city of Chelyabinsk was awarded a Ruby Cross premium for it`s great contribution to life and development of Russia.
The Ruby Cross is an acknowledgement of the new status of the industrial and cultural center in the South Urals. Chelyabinsk was represented by the vice-mayor Albert Yenaleev, who was to tell the Moscow public about the city in Temple of Christ the Saviour, where the ceremony was held.

This is the first time when the Ruby order is awarded to the whole city. Now Chelyabinsk stands in the row with Evgeny Primakov (ex-premiere of RF), Stanislav Govorukhin and Irina Rodnina.

An additional personal order was given to the head of Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Works - MMK (Chelyabinsk region) Viktor Rashnikov.
