“Food of the year” is the annual degustation contest. This event traditionally is held in the frames of exhibition by the Central tasting committee of the agricultural Ministry of Russian Federation.

Several nominations were presented: alcohol products and liquors, alcohol free products, meet, fat-and-oil products, confectionary, grocery products and some others.

170 participants adduced more than 600 samples of goods. Nomination “confectionary products” was represented by 123 companies from 50 countries. Winners in each nomination were awarded by the Award certificate, medals and Grand Prix.
