The Magnitogorsk metallurgical plant made the contract with machine-building concern «SMS DEMAG» for complex delivery of the equipment for construction plate mill "5000" and slab machine of workpiece continuous casting. Start of these objects will allow "MMK" to make highly remunerative plate iron in width up to 4850 millimeters of strength grade up to ?100-?120 for oil-and-gas branch, shipbuilding, bridge engineering and mechanical engineering. Productivity of plate mill "5000" will be one and a half million tons of iron a year, including no less than 300 thousand tons of tempered slab. MMK has taken part in auction on the right of use of bowels with the purpose of ironstone mining on Prioskolsk field in the Belgorod area, having paid for the field 630 million roubles.
