The first automobiles’ group «Maxus» has gone to Russia
In Birmingham (Great Britain), in the territory of the factory "LDV" a ceremony of sending to Russia the first lot of commercial car group "Maxus" has taken place. Automobiles are intended for transfer to trial operation in the Russian territory.

The governor of the Nizhniy Novgorod region Valery Shantsev, the president of «Groups GAZ» Eric Eberhardson, chairman of board of directors «Groups GAZ» Peter Zolotorev and the general manager “LDV Holdings” Steve Young have taken part in the ceremony.

At the same time with the trial operation there will be a preparation of a service and sale network. “Maxus’s” sales in Russia is planned to begin next year.

During the visit to Birmingham Valery Shantsev has got acquainted with a work of the factory "LDV" (the enterprise was part of «Group GAZ» in August) and has taken part in the meeting devoted to discussion of prospects of the beginning manufacture of automobiles’ group "Maxus" in Nizhniy Novgorod, on the areas of a Gorkovskiy car factory.

As agency "Ural-press-inform" was informed in the press centre of Public corporation "AZ"Ural", development of the organization of production project now comes to the end. This project includes installation of the modern line welding and car painting.

It is planned to use a production of joint ventures which auto components manufacture in the cooperation with leading world manufacturers. Also modification of existing models and development commercial car on their basis of the next generation is planned.

According to the governor of the Nizhniy Novgorod region Valery Shantsev, «realization of the similar projects opens road to development of Nizhniy Novgorod as a center of hi-tech motor industry. The transference to the Russian territory modern productions not only conducts to increase in the tax base, but also serves development of scientific and design potential of the region».
